Exhibit 3 : Religious Harmony

The Third Installation Inspire by  Growth.

This series of pieces expounds on the impact of music and religious practices on my beliefs and intellect. Music and religion were always together in my earlier years, whether at church every Sunday or at home during every holiday. Experiencing the two separately was an eye-opening experience, allowing me to connect with both individuals and also allowing me to build my relationship with them. Music moves me, time passes me, and God is with me.

Candlelit Harp

This painting  was a dream :

A black woman sits gracefully before a huge harp, her fingers poised to play the instrument's enchanting melodies. Surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight, the environment emits a peacefulness that connects the spiritual and musical. Each pluck of the strings produces a deep, heartfelt timbre, implying a holy bond between the musician and her craft. The gentle flicker of the flames creates swirling shadows, heightening the somber atmosphere. This scene encapsulates the essence of religious and musical concord, as the harpist's performance transforms into an act of worship, her song a sublime offering that connects the physical and the heavenly.

In the Beginning / Genesis 1:4

In the peaceful hearth, the ghosts stir
A dance of flames, life's faint whisper.
Each spark is a soul, born from embers.
Rising in warmth, into a broken existence.

They flash and stretch out with sensitive grace.
A fiery waltz in mortal space.
The beginnings of spirits, in the radiance that we face.

And There She Was, Alone (Again)

Silence isn't silence if you acknowledge yourself

Your breathing, your heartbeat, your mental health

The memories and nightmares that pass through your head

The sounds of your bones cracking as you stretch in your bed

The conversations from the previous hours

The sound of your body resting, slowly decreasing its powers

Silence isn't silence if you are stuck in your head

Silence isn't silence, even when you're alone crying in your bed
